Blythe's Bad Haircut
Project type
Photos, Story & Set Design
Date
May 2024
Location
Viroqua, Wisconsin
Role
I was responsible for every aspect of the project, including creating the scenes, staging, set design, writing the story, and capturing the photos. This work highlights my hands-on approach to storytelling and design.
A whimsical photo essay that follows Blythe, a doll, through the emotional journey of a bad haircut. From devastation to self-love, every scene and story is captured with care, blending photography and storytelling into a heartfelt narrative.
I created a blog with all of the photos I used and the full story. {See Link!}
A photo essay is like a visual mixtape—each picture adds a layer to the vibe, whether it’s mysterious, funny, or just plain weird (in the best way). But it’s not just about the photos; each one comes with its own little blurb, tying into the bigger story and giving you a peek behind the scenes. It’s where snapshots meet storytelling, creating a little slice of magic that connects the dots in the most creative way.
